DHL introduces Saloodo digital freight platform in UK

Deutsche Post DHL has introduced its Saloodo digital freight platform in UK extending its services across the country.

The transport provider is planning to expand its business globally by extending its digital freight platform services.

DHL’s online market platform connects shippers and transport providers on demand thereby facilitating safe and convenient access to the existing market.

As a part of the growth strategy, DHL is planning to extend Saloodo digital freight platform services across other European countries including Spain and Portugal later in 2017.

DHL is offering additional functionalities for its Saloodo customers that include allowing for quotes and invoicing in national currencies of their respective countries by bearing individual’s local taxation.

Invoice payment option has been included along with the existing payment options credit card, PayPal and SEPA.

The Saloodo driver app has been updated and provides carriers order details, route information, allows transferring shipment updates and documents in real-time to the platform.

Along with German and English Saloodo app is available in eleven new languages including Bulgarian, Czech, Dutch, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian and Spanish.

Saloodo CEO Amadou Diallo said: "We strive to continuously simplify and speed up the logistics processes for our customers.

“For that reason we listen to the requirements of shippers and transport companies alike and carefully adapt and optimize our digital freight platform.”

Earlier this year, Saloodo digital freight platform was launched in Germany which has been providing transport services across the Germany as well as from Europe to Germany and vice versa.
